This peanut chaat reminds me of the days where as a kid I could just hop…skip…jump across the road and and get myself this chat which was served in those cups made out of leaves.
I still remember most of my evening walks at Marine Drive included this chaat and the bhutta they roasted…
The aroma of roasted bhutta and the buttery peanut chaat used to change the motive of my walks🙈🙈. I could just wait so patiently to my cup loaded with this chaat and used to enjoy these guilt free..!!
How I miss eating these specially during the rains when you have both in each hand and don’t know which one to have first..😝😝
Spicy Tangy Peanut Chaat..!! Boiled peanuts with red chilli powder.. chaat masala.. green chillies, tomatoes and lots of butter, lemon juice and coriander.
- 1 bowl of boiled peanuts
- 2 tbsp chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp chopped green chillies optional
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt as desired
- Add hot boiled peanuts to a bowl and mix all above ingredients well.
- If the peanuts have become cold, heat half of the butter in a pan and mix all ingredients and slightly saute till everything combines well.
- Remove in a bowl, add remaining butter, lemon juice and garnish with coriander.
- Serve hot to enjoy!!
